Being in front of Jen’s lens is nothing short of an honor. Her love for her craft truly shows in both her immediate presence and final outcome. As a business I wanted professional photographs that accurately portray what Seaside represents: our love for yoga, a strong sense of community, and the beauty of our teachers and space. And boy did she deliver! Tears in my eyes upon seeing the final edits. She brings an energy that makes you feel comfortable and also brings her knowledge of photography forward in order to guide you into the best light, angles, poses, etc. It was a positive experience in every way, shape, and form!

Working with Jen is an absolute delight. She is professional, punctual, a clear communicator, realistic, flexible and most importantly, an exceptional artist. Jen works with natural light- sunrise to sunset to create beautiful photos. Authentic, raw, honest, glowing, natural, ethereal... are just a few ways to describe our photographs from our elopement. Both my *husband* and I feel the photos capture our nature- easygoing, carefree, light and simple. Not to mention we feel equally gorgeous and handsome through her craft. Jen is an artist- and you don't even realize as it's happening as she makes you feel so comfortable, not at all awkward or staged during the photoshoot. My husband would have been okay if we skipped photos all together that day and Jen had him relaxed, like a old friend, enjoying the process. She gives cues and direction with humor and creativity to get “the shots” and can gracefully wrangle friends and family to keep a tight timeline. From first conversation in planning our elopement Jen simply understood our needs and "vibe", asking the right questions along the way. Jen felt more like a bridesmaid at times than a photographer, as she giggled and snapped photos and used weather, landscape and natural surroundings for one of a kind shots. These keepsakes will be with us for a lifetime and I'm so grateful for that. We don't have enough wall space for the beauty! Choosing Jen to capture our elopement helped curate a truly carefree experience and most importantly, our story, personality and true spirits. Jen LOVES love and her photographs embody that. Since eloping, I have worked with Jen for a variety of photoshoots-  from yoga branding, lifestyle and head shots and most recently, maternity photos. Where do I begin. Jen was the first vendor I booked after becoming engaged; for years I had told her she would be the one who would shoot our big day and booking her was a no-brainer. I had worked with her on several work-related shoots and admired her fun, calm, & kind demeanor, and her 'get the job done' attitude.  Everything from our engagement shoot, where we hiked through the trails of Jamestown to find the 'perfect spot', to our wedding day which was greeted by wind, rain & Hurricane Dorian. Jen made everything happen without a hitch, timed photos perfectly, and the final result was nothing I could have imagined. Without hesitation, I can say that our wedding was the success that it was because Jennifer Manville was our photographer. From coordinating with my husband and setting up a surprise engagement shoot, to being an invaluable resource during the planning process, and right up through the final hour of our wedding Jen was a constant source of support. She was instrumental in helping us set up a timeline that laid out the framework for a magical day. On our big day, Jen made us, the wedding party, and our guests feel completely at ease while capturing an array of amazing posed and candid shots, which is exactly what we were looking for. My husband and I will treasure these pictures for years to come.. and she even made sure we got to enjoy cocktail hour! From the start our wedding planning Jen was the first vendor we locked down! She made two people who felt awkward behind the camera look and feel amazing at our engagement shoot. Once Covid put a damper on our original wedding plans Jen emphatically signed on to photograph our mini ceremony where she not only helped me schedule the day but took some incredibly beautiful and treasured photos. We were able to hold our originally planned wedding a few weekends ago and to no one’s surprise Jen again wowed us with her professionalism, care, and talent. We can't say enough good things about Jen. She shot our engagement photos, our backyard wedding in 2020, and our vow renewal/reception in 2021.
